The 2019 Broomhall EHSC and U16 Maine Team Nordic selection race will take place at Black Mtn on Saturday, March 2nd. The day begins with a 5K Classical in the morning and a freestyle pursuit in the afternoon. CLICK HERE to register for the race. Online registration closes on March 1st at 5pm. Entry fee is $20 per racer. Payment is done at race headquarters on race day. The Maine team will be chosen from the day's results. Those named to the team must be prepared to pay the team leader. EASEF Scholarship: For the third year in a row Maine Nordic has been awarded scholarship money to support athletes in need of financial assistance to attend the U16 and EHSC trips. This has generously been supplied by the Eastern Amateur Ski Educational Foundation. Athletes are encouraged to attend the Selection Race and scan/email the attached application form by 2/28/19 to:
Maine EHSC Team: As of now (2/15), there are 24 spots for boys and 23 for girls.
**2/28 Update: The 2019 EHSC team fee will be $350/athlete. This includes all transportation from the FK race site to the Hampton Inn in Presque Isle, rooms, all meals, as well as the race entry fee. It does not include transportation to or from Fort Kent.
The final trip cost for U16s is $275 per skier. The U16 team is staying at the Riverview in Bethel.

COURSESpectators and coaches are welcome out on the side of the course during race.
MOVEMENT:Coaches must be wearing a coach’s bib. All others will require a nordic pass.
All skiers must travel in the direction of the race course at all times.

This is a chance for Skiers in grades 8 to 12 from across the State to come together in a great event with a course and venue prepared to a National level.
