2/21 Course Update: Per Chief of Race, Roger Arsenault: We lost a lot of snow today, but we will be ready for the race Thursday afternoon. We will have to modify the course to two 2.5K laps. Map coming soon.
Our team will be on the course at 7:00 in the morning with shovels and scoops to make sure we have a safe and fair race.
As a result of the significant weather impacting the conditions and therefore the safety of the student-athletes involved, the MPA Ski Committee, in coordination with the host venues has made further changes to the Class A State Championship schedules.
NORDIC: Day One: Thursday, February 22—Nordic Classical Competition 12:30 p.m. Nordic Coaches’ Meeting at Black Mountain, Rumford 2:00 p.m. Girls’ Nordic Classical (Individual 15-Second Interval Start) 3:30 p.m. Boys’ Nordic Classical (Individual 15-Second Interval Start) Nordic Classical Awards will be presented after the boys’ race. Day Two Friday, February 23—Nordic Freestyle Competition, Pursuit Format 8:00 a.m. Nordic Coaches’ Meeting at Black Mountain, Rumford 9:00 a.m. Boys’ Nordic Freestyle (Pursuit)-------These are changes from original 10:00 a.m. Girls’ Nordic Freestyle (Pursuit)-------These are changes from original Nordic Team, Freestyle, and Pursuit Awards will be presented after the boys’ race.

Class B & C Nordic State Championships
Due to the spring like conditions forecasted for Wednesday, February 21, the MPA Class B and C Nordic Ski Championships at the Fort Kent Outdoor Center have been postponed to Thursday, February 22 and Friday, February 23 with the same schedule that was in place for Wednesday and Thursday.
