The Maranacook Boys and Girls win the 2017 Class B Nordic Title
The 2017 MPA Class B Nordic State Championships concluded today at Sugarloaf with the freestyle competition. On the boys side, John Lane of Yarmouth is the 2017 Class B Freestyle State Champion. He finished with a time of 14:07.0. Zach Holman of Maranacook was 2nd (14:16.7) and Jacob Olins of Freeport was 3rd (14:16.9). On the girls side, Grace Cowles of Yarmouth is the 2017 Class B Freestyle State Champion. She finished with a winning time of 17:11.3. Laura Parent of Maranacook was 2nd (17:15.1) and Emily Gerencer of St. Doms was 3rd (17:49.6). For the team scores, the Maranacook boys are the 2017 Class B Nordic State Champions with 45 points from the two days. Freeport was 2nd and Yarmouth was 3rd. For the girls, the Maranacook girls are the 2017 Class B Nordic State Champions with 43 points. Yarmouth was 2nd and Freeport was 3rd.
