Description
The volunteers at Quarry Road Ski Club and leaders of the new Waterville High School Ski Team want to make sure that the high school racing season can get started on Saturday.
This event is now happening. The 2025 Waterville HS Sprint Festival is a go. The snowmaking loop at Quarry Road is available and ready to host a high school race on Saturday, January 4th.
The racing begins at 10:00am. Event format will be a 15-second interval qualifying round for everyone. Distance will be approx 2km for qualifying. This round will be used to tabulate final team scores and to place athletes into the 2-person Team Sprint Finals or alternate individual sprint semi-finals on a shorter 1.2km course. In keeping with the spirit of the Bethel Relays, the premiere event of the day will be the Team Sprint Finals.
All race details here including sign-up information for coaches. Entries are due by 5PM on Friday. Entry fee is $10 with check payable to 'City of Waterville.'
