Fort Kent Boys and Girls win Aroostook County Alpine Champs
The Fort Kent Community High School Boys and Girls Ski Teams took home the Aroostook County Alpine Ski Championships Saturday in competition at Lonesome Pines in Fort Kent. Presque Isle High School finished as runners-up in both boys and girls competition. Fort Kent Junior, Alisha Guimond won the individual Giant Slalom and Slalom teams titles for the girls. Presque Isle standout Nick Bartlett won the boys GS in a tight race with places one through seven separated by just eight-tenths of a second. Fort Kent sophomore Bryce Madore claimed 1st place in Slalom. Next up for many of these teams including Fort Kent and Presque Isle will be the State Championships February 21 and 22. RESULTS
