In an effort to engage more people in the great sport of cross-country skiing at the top level, the US Ski team's Noah Hoffman in 2015 started his own Fantasy Cross-Country contest.  What began as an attempt to promote the 2015 FIS World Championships in Falun was expanded to a full World Cup season in 2016 and he's got something new in store for 2017.

"Noah Hoffman Fantasy Cross Country is something I created in 2015 to inspire people to follow the World Championships. Last year, I decided to grow the idea into a season-long event to rally people to engage in international level cross country skiing throughout the World Cup season. This year we are expanding on last year's success by adding the Concept2 Team Challenge and a completely separate competition for the 2017 World Championships in Lahti, Finland. Unlike the regular World Cup, for the World Championships you will be able to pick a separate team for each race. On top of everything, my sponsors have come through with even more exciting prizes than last year. So make a team, spread the word, and have fun! Most importantly, get out and go ski (after you finalize your team, of course)."
