Spring has arrived and it is time to start assessing plans for your summer ski training program. BNS is very lucky to have James Upham directing our summer training program for the coming summer.

We will be having an informational meeting on the program for all coaches, athletes and parents next Tuesday April 21st @ 6:30 PM here at BNS East, 200 Anderson Street Portland. This meeting will include an introduction to James and his coaching style and philosophy, a complete breakdown of the program and a Q&A session. We expect this to last 30 minutes to an hour. Please share this with your teams/teammates/all interested parties. This is a very exciting opportunity for ME skiers to work with one of the best coaches in the nation.

For those of you who are not familiar with James he has 18 years experience coaching Biathlon and Cross-Country skiing athletes. He has produced Olympians, Paralympic medalists and National and Junior National Champions. We were fortunate to have James host a few technique seminars for coaches here this winter and they were a giant hit to say the least. James has a very unique ability to break things down to an understandable language for all levels of athletes. James also grew up in Maine so he knows what the challenges of being a competitive Nordic athlete here. The chance to work with him is one we are confident to say you should not miss!
