We next interview in our State Champion Spotlight series junior Tait Harvey of Greely.  He was the 2025 Class B Classical, Freestyle, andTait Pursuit state champion.  We asked him about his favorite moment of the season and what surprised him the most.

1) What were your preparations leading up to the state meet?

Nearing into state meet I cut back on my training and peaked for the championship.

2) How did you deal with the pressure and emotions that come along with competing in a state meet? 

The pressure and emotions didn't affect me because I have a lot of self confidence in myself and understood my capabilities.
3) What was going through your mind at the start? 
At the start line I was thinking about post race food
4) What do you contribute your success to?
My success came from my excessive training and self belief and I just trusted the process so it worked out in the end. 
5)What are your goals/plans for next year? 
My plans next year are to continue to ski in high school and hopefully 2-peat.
6)  What surprised you the most about this season?
I was surprised that there was so much snow this season and I'm very thankful for it. 
7) What moment/event will you remember the most from the season?
The moment I will remember the most from the season is seeing myself ahead of Henri in the classic race as I was pretty surprised. 
8) What do you like most about Nordic skiing?
I love the idea of racing on skis because it can be really exciting at times but I also love how nordic can be peaceful and fun recreationally.
