Landon Marquis CamdenEllie Porter ELEdward Little High School's Ellie Porter captured the gold in the women's 2025 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Giant Slalom Championship at Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford. Porter had runs of 1:00.83 and 58.95 for a two-run total of 1:59.78 to capture the title. Taking the silver was Hailey Marquis of Camden Hills with times of 1:02.99 and 1:01.31 for a total time of 2:04.30. Winning the bronze was Sophie Simard of Leavitt HS, who had times of 1:01.80 and 1:03.52 for a 2:05.32 total.  In the men's Giant Slalom Landon Marquis of Camden Hills took the gold with runs of 59.27 and 56.19 for a winning total of 1:55.46. The silver went to Kaden Salsbury of Skowhegan HS with times of 59.41 and 57.03 and the two-run total of 1:56.44. Taking the final podium position was Carter Hill of Edward Little HS. Hill had times of 58.83 and 57.82 and a total of 1:56.65.  The Edward Little boys and the Camden Hills girls take the lead after day 1.  The KVAC Alpine Championships conclude on Saturday with the slalom at Titcomb Mtn.  RESULTS  RVG PHOTO GALLERY
