Jaden Boulanger, the defending Maine Class B State Slalom Champion from Mountain Valley, was victorious in the opening slalom ski raceJaden Boulanger of Mtn Valley at Black Mountain of Maine on Friday. Boulanger had runs of 58.00 and 1:00.23 for a combined time of 1:58.23. Ruby Dwyer of John Bapst High School, came in second with a combined time of 2:01.74. Maranacook's Phoebe Bell took third with a combined score of 2:02.19.
In the boys race, Thatcher Riley of Maranacook High School took the gold with times of 52.17 and 54.05 for a total of 1:46.22. Second place went to Edward Little's Ethan Levesque with a combined time of 1:54.57, while Riley's teammate Tristin Riley came in third with a combined time of 1:55.33.
