Jaden Boulanger, the defending Maine Class B State Slalom Champion from Mountain Valley, was victorious in the opening slalom ski raceat Black Mountain of Maine on Friday. Boulanger had runs of 58.00 and 1:00.23 for a combined time of 1:58.23. Ruby Dwyer of John Bapst High School, came in second with a combined time of 2:01.74. Maranacook's Phoebe Bell took third with a combined score of 2:02.19.
In the boys race, Thatcher Riley of Maranacook High School took the gold with times of 52.17 and 54.05 for a total of 1:46.22. Second place went to Edward Little's Ethan Levesque with a combined time of 1:54.57, while Riley's teammate Tristin Riley came in third with a combined time of 1:55.33.
