2018 Nordic Dryland Camp Registration

Registration is now open CLOSED for the Maine Nordic Team Summer Dryland Camp! :  REGISTRATION FORM

The Maine Nordic Team is happy to host the 4th annual Maine Team Summer Dryland Camp.  This year's camp will run from June 30th to July 3rd and will be located at Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop, ME.  At the camp we will do a good deal of rollerskiing, running, on-foot drills, and strength training along with classroom sessions involving technique, training theory, and nutrition.  The primary goal of the camp is to be an educational experience and to give you the tools and knowledge to build and execute an effective year-round training plan.  In addition to the ski specific training there will also be a good deal of fun and games.  Camp Mechuwana is located on a lake so there will be swimming, canoeing, and kayaking opportunities while we're there.

To be eligible to attend this camp you must be a current Maine high school student or a current Maine 8th grader who will be attending high school next year.  Current high school seniors who will be skiing for a collegiate program next year are also invited.

Skiers will be expected to have attained a good base fitness by the start of camp as we will be doing a large amount of rollerskiing and running.  You must bring skate rollerskis to camp as this will be a large portion of the programming.  Classic rollerskis are recommended but not required.  More details about the camp are included in the camp flyer which can be found in the attachment below.

The cost to attend camp is $180.  You must also be a current NENSA member in order to attend camp as a condition of our insurance coverage.  If you attended Eastern High School Championships or U16 Championships this year you MUST STILL RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP as yours will have expired by the time camp begins.  Please visit nensa.net to register or renew your membership.
