1) What were your preparations leading up to the state meet?
Heading into the state meet training hard distance skiing, tempo days, and pick ups.
 2) How did you deal with the pressure and emotions that come along with competing in a state meet?
When the state meet came around I didn't have the greatest classic race the day before but my coach told me to just go out and have fun. If you don't have fun while skiing it's hard to go faster. I went into the skate race feeling confident and looking to have the best outcome possible.
 3) What was going through your mind at the starting gate in the pursuit knowing that you could win?
When I came to the start line I was feeling really confident that I could improve from last years 3rd place finish even though most of the tough competition had returned from last year including the defending skate state champion Ethan Livingood.
4) You won the freestyle, what do you contribute your success to?
Excellent coaching by the coaching staff at Fryeburg Academy John Weston, Silas Eastman, and Chris darling. To my strength and conditioning coach Brylie Walker  for working my core and keeping me healthy this season. Also I love going out every day to ski with my team and coaches.
5) As a senior, what are your goals for next year?
As of right now I will be taking a gap year and going to look at my options.
6) What surprised you the most about this season?
When at the end of the skate race I sprinted to the finish and fell at the finish and my teammate came running out to tell me that I had just won. I couldn't believe what she was saying but it felt amazing.
7) What moment/event will you remember the most from this season?
Being able to ski the state meet as a senior at my home course and shredding with my team, as well as doing backcountry skiing on our nordic skies. Also meeting all my friends from other teams around the state.
8) What do you like most about Nordic skiing?
Working on my skate form and trying to beat one of my coaches in sprints after practice. Also have a great amount of snow so we didn't have a long dry land training. Also being outside in great conditions and being able to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. Thank you
