IMPORTANT INFO:
EHSC ALPINE INFO:
1. The athletes should come ready to write a check for $250
2.The athletes need
to come to the qualifier with the intent to go on to the next level (Eastern
High School Championships).
3. The athletes do not need a USSA card for the qualifier,
but if they make the state team they will need to acquire one if they don't
already have one.
EHSC
NORDIC INFO:
*1) Team size is 24 athletes,
not the 25 mentioned in the attachment.
2) Athletes must pay a
nonrefundable team fee of $275.00 upon being named to the EHSC Maine Nordic
Team. Checks can be made out to Maine Nordic Team. The fee this year was
increased due to the necessity of renting a tent at the EHSC for athletes and
spectators.
3) The team fee includes rooms
for Friday and Saturday night, all race fees, transportation from the race site
to the hotel, and dinner Saturday night. Transportation to Vermont is not
included in the team fee.
4) Dinner Friday night is not
included in the team fee.
5) The course Saturday will not
be closed before or during the race. Skiing will be allowed in RACE DIRECTION ONLY.
Spectators must not walk along the course at any time. Coaches must exercise
discretion but are free to move along the course in race direction.
6) Per NENSA rules, to be
eligible for the team athletes must either be a resident of Maine or attend a Maine
school.
7) Athletes may preregister or
register the day of race. The entry fee is $16.00.
